Leolux Presentation – Milan 2025

As art-directors of Leolux, Truly Truly has set a goal to design the brand’s large-scale exhibitions with a focus on minimising waste, while maximising re-use or recycling. Previous exhibition designs have been created from voluminous textiles or architectural wooden screens - both highly expressive and designed with their next destination already in place.

For 2025, the space design was enveloped in recycled paper - an unconventional building material due to it’s delicate nature. Truly Truly embraced the material’s inherent fragile qualities, manipulating it into a new vision of exhibition design. The result was a crumpled landscape, immersed in a double view of colour. ‘Double Up' was a play on perception through the power of multiplication. As you changed perspective, colours followed, changing the mood and setting a new scene. The space flipped the view offering more than a single experience.

The walls too, told the story of materials’ multiple lives. Pre-used paper, shone here in it’s recycled form, and would go on to be recycled once more, dramatically minimising the waste of such a large-scale, temporary built environment.
