Valleys Rug - Natural Dyed Edition

Studio Truly Truly collaborated with natural dye studio, Tinctoria in Amsterdam to produce a limited edition, organically dyed version of the their Valleys rug for Leolux.

Natural indigo was selected for its soft blue hue, and explorations of the dying process were made via dye calculations, small tests of folding and tying. With an asymmetrical design in mind, Truly Truly devised a specific method of folding and rolling the rug then tightly tying it, before soaking it in the dye-bath. This folding pattern creates the areas of diverse pigmentation across the rug.
